Dr. Tran Anh Tuan, a visiting scholar from Vietnam, has produced a Vietnamese version of Dr. Y. C. Lee's GIS for the Curious. Dr. Tuan has been a visitor in the Department since October 2000. John Hughes Clarke was host to Jin Xianglong and Li Jiabao between 13 and 15 March 2001. Both professors Jin and Li are marine geologists and geophysicists with the Second Institute of Oceanography of the State Oceanic Administration in Hangzhou, China. Jin Xianglong is the director of the Key Lab of Submarine Geoscience. Li Jiabao is the director of the Department of Marine Geology and Geophysics.
