Teaching
There are 9 full-time faculty members and a professor emeritus who teach core courses in the undergraduate program. The geomatics engineering core courses can be classified into 6 topics. These are surveying, adjustments, geodesy, imaging and mapping, professional practice, and technical communication/reports.
In addition to the geomatics engineering core courses, there are also core courses in mathematics, computer science, and general science; economics and law; and basic engineering subjects. These courses are taught by faculty in other departments within the university.
The program also provides students with the opportunity to sample technical elective courses in geodesy and geomatics engineering, other engineering departments, geology, physics, and technology management and entrepreneurship. Complementary studies elective courses are taken in the humanities and social sciences.
