Graduate Seminar Conference 2007

A special thank you to seminar organizer Pim Kuus and to Graduate Secretary Sylvia Whitaker who helped to organize the seminar and catered the reception that followed.

Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place were $1,000, $300, and $200 respectively and were donated by John Holmlund of Focus Corporation (www.focus.ca). The paper prizes were awarded as follows:


Graduate Paper Competition 1st Prize: Chris Gairns receives the award for his paper "Semi-Automated Structural Deformation Monitoring of Large Tanks used in the Storage of Hazardous Materials" from Dr. Sue Nichols, Director of Graduate Studies.

 

 

Graduate Paper Competition 2nd Prize: Ian Church receives the award for his paper "Modification of Tide within Narrow Fjords" from Dr. Sue Nichols, Director of Graduate Studies.

 

 

Graduate Paper Competition 3rd Prize: Jason Bond receives the award for his paper "Augmenting GPS with Pseudolites for Deformation Monitoring in Harsh Environments" from Dr. Sue Nichols, Director of Graduate Studies.
