A special thank you to Graduate Secretary Sylvia Whitaker who not only helped to organize the conference but also did a spectacular job of catering the food for the reception that followed.

The 5 students competing in the paper competition were:

Mark Guest	Analysis of the Performance of the Wild T3000
Anas Shadid	Developing a Strategy for Land Tenure Specialists in Post-Conflict Lands
Alexander Snyder	An Analysis of the Decay of Orbital Elements of GPS Satellites
George McKessock	A Comparison of Local and Wide Area Differential Corrections Disseminated using the Network Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol (NTRIP)

Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place were $1,000, $300, and $200 respectively and were donated by the Canadian Institute of Geomatics, New Brunswick Branch and John Holmlund of Focus Corporation. The paper prizes were awarded as follows:
