Chris Gairns Wins the St. George Tri Fest Canadian Long Distance Duathlon

Chris, a native of Fredericton, battled 15 degree temperatures, strong winds, foggy conditions and a demanding, hilly course in completing the 15 kilometer run, the 73.2 kilometer bike ride and another 7 kilometer run in a time of 3 hours and 28 minutes, 5 seconds. His combined time was more than 5 minutes faster than the second place finisher.

We would also like to congratulate Chris on his 2nd place finish in the Fredericton Duncan Hadley Triathlon, held in Fredericton on July 8th, where he finished 5th in the 1500m swim, 2nd in the 40km bike, and 1st in the 10 km run.
