David and Jay then spent the rest of the morning working diligently to set up the activity. In the afternoon, they were welcomed by Mr. Wayne Coburn and almost thirty Grade 11 and 12 students. A genuine interest was shown in GPS, geomatics, and our department. Of course, all had fun with the geocache activity! After the presentation of prizes and a short closing talk, David and Jay were thanked for the visit.

This was the first time the event was set up and presented in one day and it was deemed a great success. Thanks go out to Michelle Ryan for her organizational efforts.
