Fifty people attended the two-day course, and the one day workshop and field trip. Most were from IBGE however there were attendees from the Brazilian military, the City of Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo Air Traffic Control, the State of Parana Planning Office, the National Registry of Intellectual Property and Copyright, as well as various universities.

PIGN sponsored the event with the course, workshop, and supporting course documents including a training manual and CD.
